Imam of a mosque: Formal religiosity is one of the most dangerous phenomena and causes great harm to religion and society

Imam of Al-Qulaya Al-Atiq Mosque in Shindi, Sheikh Qamar Al-Din Ibrahim Qamar Al-Din, said that performing acts of worship according to their specifications achieves many social goals and benefits.

The Imam explained in his Friday sermon that religion rests on four pillars: beliefs, acts of worship, morality and transactions, and that acts of worship actually produce social benefits that make life easier between people and overcome many difficulties thanks to fruits. of these acts of worship and facilitate transactions between people.

He emphasized that prayer is not just movements that are performed, but that prayer prohibits indecency and evil, and if this goal of worship is not achieved, then it must be revised. Likewise, fasting is not just abstinence from eating and drinking, but rather. to achieve piety, and as stated in the hadith, whoever does not abandon false speech and act accordingly is not God needs him to abandon his food and drink, and zakat is purification wealth and achieves direct social goals according to its eight sources mentioned in the noble verse, Hajj also accomplishes these goals. Whoever imposes the Hajj, there is no obscenity, immorality or strife, and whoever performs the Hajj and does not commit immorality or immorality, he will return as his own. his mother gave birth to him.

Sheikh Qamar Al-Din highlighted the danger of formal religiosity, which depends on appearance, such as growing a beard, shortening clothes, wearing the rosary and niqab, and does not depend on essence of religion.

Although formal religiosity is a type of deception, you can find men and women with the same formal religiosity, but they violate religion in many transactions that are originally related to the proper performance of worship.

Formal religiosity can bring many people into the circle of the religious definition of the bankrupt who comes on the Day of Resurrection with lots of prayers, fasting and Hajj, but he cursed this person, cursed that person, took the money of such a person and beat that person. then some of his good deeds towards these people will be taken away from him, and if they are not repaid, some of their bad deeds will be taken away and imputed to him.
