In statements to the press following the meeting, the minister highlighted the importance of the role of voluntary associations in improving the country's health services through cooperation with the Ministry of Health, as entity responsible for providing health services.
The minister appreciated the great activity carried out by Sudanese associations with all their specializations in the pursuit of the provision of health services, which had a great impact on mobilizing the energies of society and donors and on reducing the burden on patients, especially vulnerable segments. He also appreciated the role of the Liver Care and Localization Association and spearheaded greater coordination with the National Digestive and Liver Center. He also thanked those responsible for the association for their great efforts towards this segment of patients and their role in contributing to the localization of liver transplants and seeking more preventive, promotional and community activities.
The minister welcomed the proposals to strengthen joint cooperation between the Sudanese Society for the Care and Localization of Liver Transplants and the Ministry of Health through projects organizing this partnership, revealing the efforts of the National Program for Digestive Diseases and the successes achieved before the war and the beginning of the localization of liver transplantation in the country.
The minister highlighted that the meeting resulted in many recommendations, the most important of which is the need to prepare a special file for the care of farmers and to focus on preventive measures and health promotion activities, in addition to adopt a joint liver transplantation project. in Sudan as part of projects to rehabilitate the post-war health system.
