In confirmation of the news from “Zool Net”… the Central Bank circulates a statement on the lack of liquidity

The Central Bank of Sudan revealed in a circular, of which Zoul Net received a copy, and in confirmation of the information reported by the newspaper, the measures it is taking to maintain the lack of liquidity. The circular states: β€œLarge quantities of currency. of unknown origin and not complying with technical specifications, denominations of β€œ1000” and β€œ500” pounds became widespread, which led to a sharp increase in the level of cash liquidity over the last period, and the Bank Central added this. his statement which has been circulating over the past two days, asserting that banks will continue Commercial banks and their branches receive foreign currency from citizens in denominations of β€œ1,000”, β€œ500” pounds, β€œ200” pounds and β€œ100” pounds and provide and save them in their accounts and allow them to use their balances through various payment methods. The Central Bank confirmed in its press release that it would later announce the date on which the denominations currently in circulation will no longer be the default currency.

It should be noted that the Central Bank has held a number of meetings with banking services and listened to them in this regard.
