The Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim denied, the collapse of the health system in Sudan is evidenced by the presence of the six fundamental pillars that must be present in the health system, namely the presence of a governing body based on health issues, the continuity of the provision of health services across most institutions, the existence of a medical and pharmaceutical supply system and the continuity of health human cadre systems and the information system. Stressing that all of them are functioning, he pointed out that the total number of hospitals is 750, of which 250 have been partially disabled or destroyed in the public and private sectors, and he added in the platform The Ministry of Information visited the weekly from the Red Sea state capital, Port Sudan, to report on violations committed by the Rapid Support Militia.

The minister said some hospitals are still operating, including Al-Nou Hospital in Bamdurman, despite continued registration by the militia, and Al-Dayat Hospital, considered the militia's command center, and the Al-Balak hospital, indicating that this targeting is systematic, explaining that the supplies arrive by air to Al-Fasher hospitals, via air drops in coordination with the armed forces, and added that there are real difficulties facing the Oncology Hospital (Maize), saying that there is real suffering due to the loss of the two largest oncology treatment centers in Sudan every year… From Khartoum and Madani, in addition from the exit of (3) state centers (Nyala, El Fasher and El Obeid).

Haitham said that a number of (4,000) thousand kidney patients have been lost to death, (164) kidney transplants and the services provided to them have been significantly reduced, indicating that (62 ) dialysis centers were out of service on (102) ), with 3 kidney transplant centers destroyed (Ahmed Qasim, Ibn Sina, Salma).

The minister highlighted the loss of the stock of medical supplies, amounting to (500) million dollars, looted in Khartoum, in addition to the stock in Gezira State, amounting to (20) million dollars , looted by rapid support Janjaweed militias, and that the total amount of looted property corresponded to private medical supplies (600) million dollars.

The minister explained that the total financial losses in the health sector amount to $11 billion, which constitutes 22% of the total damage in the entire service sector.

The minister confirmed in his weekly bulletin on violations committed today by the rebel Rapid Support militia in the health sector that, according to estimates by the Health Economics Committee, losses in Khartoum hospitals are amount to 2/2 billion dollars.

Until July, deaths of children under one year old amounted to (1,121) children and (870) deaths of mothers, and documented cases of rape reached (306) cases.

Haitham pointed out that direct losses were recorded in terms of killings, amounting to (12) thousand cases, accounting for more than 10% of the killing cases during the war, and (150) deaths occurring as a result of the war , and (33) thousand cases of serious injuries and amputations that were followed in health establishments.

The minister highlighted the death of more than (60) health workers in hospitals, noting the displacement of around 25% of the population, equivalent to (12) million people, calling it the biggest health and humanitarian disaster that knows the country. .

Haitham criticized the militias' targeting of health facilities and hospitals, which began early with Khartoum Hospital and Istak Reference Laboratory, announcing that 70% of hospitals in Khartoum State were out of control. service, emphasizing that the number of private hospitals (75) and public hospitals (55) led to the closure of all reference hospitals, in addition to the closure of public hospitals in the Darfur. Militias invaded public hospitals and completely destroyed infrastructure, indicating preliminary estimates of the number (250) of hospitals, equivalent to a third of the total. hospitals. There are (750) hospitals.

The minister stressed that the number of health facilities is limited to (6) thousand facilities in the country, of which 66% are functioning and the rest are under the control of militias in East, Central and South Darfur states. In addition, (20) referral hospitals in Khartoum and Gezira, such as cardiac surgeries, tumors and digestive system, were affected, indicating institutions that witnessed repeated destruction and destruction despite international appeals , notably Al-Nawa and Al-Balak. Al-Dayat Hospital, Saudi Al-Fasher Hospital, renal centers and children's hospitals, in addition to relevant hospitals. Madani, Sennar and Blue Nile, which the militia took as blog sites, highlighting the suspension of Al-Corn Hospital, Damani and Shindi Radiotherapy Center, as well as the heavy pressure on the center in Marawi, which has caused great suffering to oncology patients, in addition to environmental, radiological and viral risks.

The minister revealed the loss of the five centers in Khartoum and the Madani Center for Heart Diseases and Surgery, with losses estimated at $83 million (Al-Shaab, Ahmed Qasim, Soudan Heart Center, Omar Sawi Al-Shorta, Ibn Al-Nafis Center, Omdurman Hospital, Madani Heart Center, Shendi, Merowe, Atbara, Al-Obeid).

The minister said that because of the militia, environmental health deteriorated and its services were disrupted, leading to an increase in cases of malaria, cholera and the outbreak of dengue, as well as damage to vaccines against childhood diseases and interruption of vaccination. services in many states during the first year of the war.

The minister confirmed that the organizations face great difficulties operating in areas controlled by militias, emphasizing their recognition of the professionalism of the Sudanese army as a responsible army.

In conclusion, Dr. Haitham thanked all medical personnel working in these complex circumstances, emphasizing that the Arab Council of Ministers granted the Arab Doctor Award for the year 2024 to the Sudanese doctor.

The Minister of Culture and Information, official government spokesperson, Mr. Khaled Ali Al-Aissar, affirmed the State's concern to provide public opinion with all the facts on the violations committed by the rebel militias against the Sudanese people.

He said during his speech in the third periodical weekly Al-Tanweer on the violations committed by the rebel militias that the Ministry of Culture and Information hopes that the media will fully play their role in transmitting the facts such as they occurred, without distortion.

He confirmed that the militias committed major crimes against the Sudanese, especially in the health sector, which was subjected to destruction, vandalism and looting of warehouses and stores of medicines and vaccines for children , as happened in El Fasher and elsewhere.

He said his ministry would continue the approach it adopted as a principle aimed at enlightening the Sudanese people on the facts of the war.
