Intensive efforts to monitor standards in Kassala State
️As part of its efforts to protect the consumer and the national economy, the Sudanese Authority for Standards and Metrology, Kassala Branch, conducted intensive inspection campaigns in the locality of Kassala. These campaigns included the West Gash market, the popular market and a large number of grocery stores, cafeterias, car tire shops and iron and bolt distribution centers, as part of the branch's industrial inspection and service plan.
Mrs. Nahla Mohammed Abdullah Mohammed, Director of the Kassala State Branch, stressed the coverage of all localities in the state and the examination of their markets. She called on all consumers to immediately report expired products that do not meet specifications, revealing the inspection campaigns. will continue to cover the markets of Kassala West, Al-Hafir and Kassala Rural localities.
He stressed that the campaigns, confirming the Authority's concern to protect consumers throughout the state, revealed some violations, ranging from expiration to improper storage, and that the scales operating in the markets were seized and examined. The campaign was also accompanied by a reminder of the pound and awareness and education of workers regarding the obligation to deal with the kilogram and its derivatives in commercial transactions.
