Is the war suddenly ending? – An important glimmer of hope – ✍️ Abdel Salam Al-Qaray
As I have already mentioned, the military institution is waging a war that has been imposed on the patient and self-reliant Sudanese people, and at the same time it has not closed the diplomatic doors because the military institution has not stopped playing its role in creating men and planning for the sustainability of the country's security. On the contrary, it exercises political, economic and social roles, it maneuvers and therefore adopts all methods that would achieve the highest interests of the Sudanese people.
The recent diplomatic moves, which began with the visit of the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister, then that of Ethiopian President Abiy Ahmed, and before that the Cairo conference, and currently the phone call that took place between Mr. Al-Burhan and the President of the United Arab Emirates, all confirm that the military establishment is playing a role that is made necessary by the circumstances that the country is going through, especially by the suffering of the Sudanese people displaced by this damn war.
Any move must take into account these difficult circumstances, and the leaders of the military establishment must take into account what is happening on the ground, which has become bitter, as they discuss the issue of war and peace in Sudan.
Therefore, the military establishment is waging the battle of dignity, without closing the door to any genuine initiative aimed at ending this cursed war in conditions that do not diminish the value and status of the Sudanese people.
On the other hand, the shameless parties are no longer accepted by the Sudanese, which means that those who support the rebel forces in their war against the Sudanese people have their natural place, which is to sit on the sidewalk.
Even the rebel forces, whose strength has been broken, have become undesirable in the formations of the regular forces. How could they not kill and displace innocent people from their homes and loot their property? presence within the military and security system?
The policy of axes requires the military institution to act according to a specific strategy that can change depending on the circumstances and the positions of the major countries, led by America and Russia, which are also “maneuvering” to assert their interests in Sudan. So far, the military institution is trying to achieve great gains, avoiding losses as much as possible, especially for the interests of both sides with the countries of the region, which leads to intersections and tensions that can undermine all initiatives.
There is no doubt that the matter is not without its tangles that require taking a deep breath while exercising wisdom and seizing the available opportunities.
There is nothing wrong with the military establishment succeeding in ending the war through diplomatic means, provided that it does not lose the highest interests of the Sudanese people.
Those who see the difficult situation the Sudanese find themselves in do not refuse to end this damn war through negotiation.
As Professor Sanaa Hamad, leader of the National Conference, says: “And if they lean towards peace, then lean towards it.”
In this regard, it was reported that America was “satisfied” with the Islamists in Sudan. If this news is true, it means that America is serious about ending the war, but at the same time it has decided to block the path of Russia, which is trying to gain a foothold in Sudan.
The game of interests has pushed America to seek to achieve its interests, even if it means using Islamists to the tune of 00,000!!!
There is no doubt that the self-reliant and patient Sudanese people are waiting for the results of these measures.
May you stay safe and healthy
