Is there no harmony between the Ministries of Health and Education in the North? – The Edge of the Sword – ✍️ Muhammad Al-Sadiq

0 I was surprised by the announcement by the Northern State Minister of Education that schools would open this Sunday morning, even though the state has a large number of people infected with conjunctivitis and a small number of people infected with cholera in addition to those suspected of the disease.

0 It is known that the Northern State has been hit harder this fall than the rest of the states due to climate change that will impose a new reality on the state's population.

0 I come back to say that rain, torrents, floods and stagnant waters have caused the above diseases, which requires more efforts, efforts and donations to combat the rapidly transmitted and contagious epidemic diseases.

0 Conjunctiva of the eyes is a viral disease and is one of the most common types of conjunctivitis. It often spreads in schools and crowded places and results from an allergic reaction to pollen, animals, cigarette smoke and chlorine. in swimming pools, or in rainwater and floods that carry the virus, which is also transmitted by flies, which are very numerous these days.

0 As for cholera, it is a bacterial disease that spreads through contaminated water, food and ponds. Cholera causes diarrhea and severe dehydration. If left untreated, it can be fatal within hours, even in previously healthy people.

0 All we went to is the diagnosis of widespread diseases according to our research, in addition to the stagnant water around markets and schools, on which the local government is making a great effort, but it is not enough to open schools in these circumstances in which we must work to protect our sons and daughters, our students, from the spread of the disease. How can they not imagine half of the present and all of the future?

0 It is true that the decision to open schools may be political, but that does not mean that we are endangering the lives of pupils and students, knowing that we do not know the adequacy of toilets inside schools and the quantities of flies that breed around them. Therefore, we wonder whether the decision of the Ministry of Education was taken in consultation with the Ministry of Health as the authority concerned with human safety in the state. Or is there no harmony between the two ministries in such cases?

0 In general, we believe that the current circumstances require that health and education officials make the health of future children a priority. In my opinion, it is still possible to review the decision to open schools for fear of disastrous consequences, God forbid, which will cost the State dearly.

0 Tomorrow, God willing, we will continue if there is a remainder in life, and God is behind the intention.
