1990 – The Kuwaiti People’s Conference held in Jeddah concluded its proceedings by issuing a final declaration including many issues related to the liberation of Kuwait from the Iraqi occupation forces. The conference declared its categorical rejection of Iraq’s occupation of Kuwait and that there should be no haggling or negotiation over Kuwait’s sovereignty.
