The organization targeted more than (255) expatriates and residents residing near the land port of Atbara and the Al-Jabbarab area in Al-Damar. The organization covered patients with chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, gout and anticoagulants, in addition to epilepsy, diseases of the glands, prostate, colon, bones, anemia and middle ear pain, in addition to colon, humidity and psychological diseases…..
Head of the organization Dr. Mutawakel Hamad Al-Nil praised the partnership with the Sudanese American Society of Greater Chicago, stressing the continuation of the project aimed at distributing free care to all those in need. He added that the health situation is deteriorating due to the weakness of health infrastructure. the difficulty of accessing treatments and the spread of epidemics in the country, and that the impact is great on people with chronic diseases who suffer from the high price of treatments, which indicates that the organization, through its local partners, seeks to expand the scope of the project and contribute to the distribution of free care to cover the largest number of patients….
On the other hand, the free medicine project received many praises from the beneficiaries, highlighting the great role of the organization in supporting health, demanding the need to expand the circle of free care and the entry of local and regional organizations alongside the government to support the project.
