Justice first, not revenge in times of victory – whispered letters – ✍️ Dr. Al-Baqir Abdul Qayyum Ali

In light of current events and the joy shared by all members of the Sudanese people at having achieved victories that warmed the hearts of all, in the recovery of certain areas, which began with a strike from Sinja, then civilian , and the advance of the army to liberate every square inch that the militias have desecrated, in such circumstances it is our duty not to allow… For ourselves, spoiling our joy with practices that may harm our reputation and contradict the principles of justice and respect for humanity, it is true that no one will be able to erase the images from their memory. The horrible mentality that the militias committed against us, when we were a defenseless people, is a crime that words cannot describe, but we must remember our religious and humanitarian principles that govern our public behavior in such difficult circumstances. . The Muslim must respond insult by insult. He has no right to practice methods of revenge that pollute conscience and violate the values of humanity.

We ask the army and all those who fight on its behalf to know with certainty that our army is a professional, professional and honorable army, that it respects the rules of engagement and human rights, and that They must remember, as they achieve victory after victory, that the captured enemy is alive, that he is in captivity and that he is not brutally killed or tortured in order to take revenge. We have a professional army, and that is why the soldiers on the ground must know that victory does not depend only on military strength, but rather on our morality and principles. It is true that what the militia did cannot be forgotten by anyone, but. our religion and our morals prevent us from being like them in their brutal behavior.

It is true that the hearts of all members of the people are filled with respect for our enemies, who subjected us to murders, massacres, rapes and forced displacements, but revenge is not the solution, but rather an incitement to more hatred and hatred. destruction, forgiveness and mercy are the paths to establishing justice and restoring trust between people, and today, more than ever, we must show the world that we do not respond to brutality with violence. brutality, but rather by destruction. . Build and violence with mercy.

The documentation that reported scenes of vulgarity and vulgarity in the relations of some members of the army with enemies is considered behavior unworthy of a human being, and this is rejected by good reason and common sense human. We know very well that the. The Sudanese army possesses a professionalism that distinguishes it as a respectable army among the armies of the world, but the actions of certain individuals will have negative effects on the army's image in the international community.

This type of behavior is not consistent with our religious and humanitarian values, which reject healing and torture in all their forms, regardless of the justifications. Why are these scenes not necessary? The scenes that have been documented and broadcast on social media will negatively affect the image of the nation and the army together, which will reflect on us as a people, and this deviant behavior could cause the international community to doubt our intentions and the extent of our actions. our commitment to international human rights laws, and international organizations that monitor humanitarian violations urge us to do so.

We urgently need to be an example to the whole world by adhering to human values and working to eliminate distortions in practice, and not literally repeating the brutal actions that militias have committed in the past against us. It is therefore our duty to adhere to moral standards. We must show the world that we are a professional army, committed to the principles of our true religion and local and international laws, and we assure the world that we seek to achieve peace and stability, and that we must do so. . does not raise questions. Our behavior is affected by the negative behavior of certain individuals.

It is necessary for military leaders to publicly clarify this position and take practical steps to protect the military's reputation and ensure that those who transgress ethical boundaries are held accountable. We must return to the principles in which we believe and which place us at the forefront of nations seeking to achieve justice and peace.

And God is behind the intention
