The Kassala State Department of Civil Defense celebrated the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction under the slogan (Empowering the next generation for a resilient future). The celebration takes place under the auspices of the Secretary General of the National Civil Defense Council, Lieutenant General of Police. Othman Atta Mustafa, the Director of the Kassala State Civil Defense Department, Police Colonel, revealed that Badawi Muhammad Hussein, during his speech at the celebration, announced a national plan to rebuild what was destroyed by war. Badawi said the war destroyed many installations and infrastructure and led to a large wave of displacement of citizens, highlighting the active participation of the National Civil Defense Council.
