Khartoum Markets and Saad Qashret Bahri Market, Atbara Branch on the Nile Open

Today, Dr. Muhammad Al-Badawi Abdel-Majid Abu Qarun, Governor of the Nile, inaugurated the markets of Khartoum and Saad Qishreh Bahri, Atbara branch, as part of the efforts of the Nile State government to promote economic development and improve the living standards of citizens.

The Governor visited the market pavilions, which include an elite group of leading suppliers and wholesalers from various markets in Khartoum State and Saad Qishra Bahri Market, in addition to an elite group of traders from Atbara city.

He was accompanied on the tour by Mr. Mustafa Mohamed Othman Al-Sharif, Minister of Culture, Information and Communications of the Nile State, and Mr. Abdul Raouf Hassan Al-Mubarak, Executive Director of the locality of Atbara, in the presence of a representative of the Artillery Command, the Local Security Committee, the Chamber of Commerce, businessmen and official and popular events.

In his speech, the Governor stressed that the doors of the state would be wide open to all the Sudanese people, declaring the readiness of the state and all its localities to receive investors and facilitate their procedures in full openness.

His Excellency referred to a number of pioneering projects implemented in the state, which have effectively contributed to creating numerous employment opportunities for young graduates.

The governor unveiled a set of promising investment plans that the state intends to implement in Al-Hudi, Umm Al-Tuyour and Shendi regions, reiterating his emphasis on the Nile State welcoming all Sudanese from all regions of the country, without any discrimination or exception.

The governor commended the efforts of the state security services, saluting their sacrifices and great vigilance in maintaining security and stability.

For his part, Mr. Abdul Raouf Hassan Al-Mubarak, Executive Director of Atbara locality, stressed that Atbara locality opens its doors to all Sudanese and strives to provide an attractive investment environment.

Al-Mubarak explained that the locality will provide all the necessary facilities for traders in Khartoum markets and Saad Qashra market, the Atbara branch, by providing model sites and markets equipped with water and electricity services.

Professor Abdul Raouf Hassan Al-Mubarak stressed that maintaining security is everyone's responsibility, calling for unifying efforts under the slogan “One Army, One People.”

In turn, Engineer Asaad Jaafar Hamza, General Manager of Khartoum Markets and Saad Qashra Market, Atbara Branch, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Nile State government for its great interest and continued support to the investment sector.

He stressed the commitment of businessmen to support the state's development projects aimed at improving the living standards of citizens.

He announced the launch of intensive awareness campaigns in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Information and Communications, with the aim of raising the level of citizens' awareness of security and strengthening the culture of cooperation with security services, under the slogan “Your security is on us, country.”

Engineer Asaad Hamza expressed the Markets Department's desire to establish permanent markets to attract foreign investment to the Nile State, especially in light of the security stability witnessed in the state.

He stressed that the creation of these permanent markets would significantly contribute to stimulating economic activity in all areas, increasing employment opportunities for young people and improving the living standards of citizens.

The opening activities included meaningful artistic and cultural performances presented by a local talent group, the Mirghani Carpet group also sang heartfelt prophetic praises, and the events ended with the distribution of gifts to visitors.
