Ambassador Al-Dhafiri confirmed that the medical ship is part of the continued assistance in implementing the directives of the Kuwaiti political leaders to support our brothers in Sudan, which was transported via an airlift launched from the first days of the war. and has so far reached 18 planes that have transported hundreds of tons of food, pharmaceuticals and housing assistance, ambulances and medical equipment, and projects are implemented by Kuwaiti charitable and humanitarian companies through their offices and partners in Sudan.
Stressing that a delegation from the Kuwait Red Crescent Society will arrive in Port Sudan to inaugurate the cargo of the ship, which is the second, since the Society sent the first ship last September loaded with 190 tons of food and medical supplies, he added. :- The inauguration of the cancer drugs will be in the presence of all relevant parties, led by them, the Sudanese Ministry of Health, with which the embassy and the relevant authorities of Kuwait are working in full coordination regarding the needs and health sector priorities. He went on to say that the shipment of medicines for cancer will be followed by shipments of medicines for chronic diseases such as kidneys and diabetes, and visits will also be organized by Kuwaiti and Sudanese medical personnel for cooperation. joint between the ministries of health in Sudan. the two countries.
Al-Dhafiri said the Kuwaiti Red Crescent delegation would discuss the distribution of sacrifices to needy families costing around one hundred thousand Kuwaiti dinars.
