The minister stressed that the visit to the displaced people coming from the eastern region of the island proved that they are in need of food, care and shelter, stressing that the ministry has provided medical supplies to hospitals that provide services to displaced persons, and that Al-Faw Hospital in Gedaref State has been equipped and its reception capacity has been increased to more than 80 additional beds, and the ministry has appealed to international organizations such as World Health, UNICEF and other organizations to support the displaced with medicines. that the needs are great given the increase in the number of displaced people from the eastern regions of the island.
Haitham emphasized that the vaccine is safe, effective and approved by the World Health Organization, and technical and administrative arrangements are being made by the Expanded Immunization Administration to target 13 states with high risk and incidence of malaria, emphasizing that the challenge facing the ministry is to provide medical services to every citizen of the country and provide them with medicines and treatment. As a ministry, we seek to reach and vaccinate every child in at-risk states this year and next year, he added. that malaria treatment is free and supported by the Global Support Fund.

He added that African countries have introduced vaccines to reduce deaths and hospitalizations, he went on to say that the need and demand for vaccines will increase worldwide and by 2026 AD there will be between 40 and 60 million doses. , and after 2080 AD, there will be more than 100 million doses.
