. The creation of the Social Security, Solidarity and Poverty Reduction Commission is a continuation of the efforts of the Ministry of Social Development to reduce poverty, preserve the dignity of the Sudanese human being and achieve social security by coordinating poverty reduction efforts at all levels: official agencies, civil society organizations and the private sector, all to achieve the goals of social justice and sustainable development.

The creation of the Commission for Social Security, Solidarity and Poverty Reduction

The Social Security, Solidarity and Poverty Reduction Commission was created with the aim of coordinating efforts and developing proposals, policies and programs aimed at reducing poverty. The Commission has a Commissioner General under the supervision of the Minister of Social Development.

Achieve social justice and security by strengthening productive security networks to empower the poor in coordination with development partners

Urge the community to expand social development programs, raise the level of development of grassroots communities and involve them in all different stages of poverty reduction projects.

Work to coordinate efforts to reduce poverty and develop national standards, taking into account formal and informal efforts and private sector contribution

Achieve social justice and ensure minimum social protection for the neediest and poorest families

Promote and disseminate the meanings and values ​​of solidarity, tolerance and virtuous values ​​within society

Encourage the private sector to contribute to programs aimed at reducing poverty and providing social security

Fighting poverty in its advanced and multidimensional concept

Propose the annual budget of the organizational and functional structure and submit it to the competent authorities for approval. Prepare periodic reports and submit them to the Supreme Council.

Develop proposals for policies, plans and programs that will reduce poverty and achieve social security, and submit them to the Supreme Council for approval.

Organize and coordinate the efforts of official agencies and civil society organizations working to reduce poverty and achieve social security

Establish a social observatory system to measure the impact of programs and projects on economic and social conditions

Develop national indicators and update the statistical information base on poverty

Conduct periodic surveys and prepare poverty maps in coordination with relevant authorities

Within the framework of the Social Security Commission's programs, the Gedaref State Commission recently organized a workshop to reduce the poverty rate in Gedaref State, and it is expected that the idea will be disseminated in the rest of the States in the near future. The workshop speech of the Federal Minister of Social Development and then the Commissioner of the Social Security and Poverty Alleviation Commission addressed the workshop to the target segments of the state, knowing that the Commission is one of the institutions of the Ministry of Social Development. and has many programs belonging to the Commission. Plans are being developed to implement them quickly in light of these exceptional circumstances that the country is experiencing, especially since there are any. Many activities fall under the responsibility of the Right Arm Commission
