London: Platforms Liabon – The face of truth – ✍️ Ibrahim Shaqlawi

In a time of multiple, sincere and false platforms and attempts to impose wills and agendas, the Sudanese management invokes free will that its people are confident years ago, manifesting themselves to its highest representations during the 197th War April 2023, not as a new confrontation or national slogans, but as an existing action for the Sudanese decision.

The state is not a formal presence in the conferences of the outside. It is rather a living expression of a nation which formulates its fate of its free will, and rises from the rubble to announce: that the decision was born from the uterus of suffering, and not of the negotiation salons. Consequently, Sudanese history is in harmony with the philosophy of “Jean -Jacques Rousseau” in the social contract in his saying: people are not enslaved, except when they lose their will and that the facts are not called from the outside, but are rather sculpted from the inside,

In the light of these complications and changes in international and regional positions, the last London conference has become a station which reflects the deep contrast of visions and interests on the future of the country. Despite Great Britain’s attempt with the European Union and certain Western powers to present the conference as a platform to support peace and the ceasefire, the failure of the conference to achieve practical results or to form an effective communication group revealed the size of the gap between the parts of the Sudanese dossier and reaffirmed that the solutions imposed abroad will not lead abroad, without involving the legitimate government or Sovereignty national, will not lead to real penetration.

On the other hand, the positions of some arab country, led by saudi arabia and egypt, cam to emphasize the importance of respecting the unity of southern and supporting the state institutions, as riyadh stressed the rejection of any efforts to form a parallel government or an alternative entity, a position in harmony with the egyptian call That Ambassador Hani Salah Carried to the Head of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al -Burhan, who came to a very sensitive timing, to confirm continuous Egyptian support in Khartoum, and the need for cooperation the duo in current transformations. This possible visit to Cairo reaffirms the Arab axis, which began to regain its position by supporting Sudan, in exchange for attempts by certain regional parties – in particular Emirates – to reshape the political scene by supporting the illegal parties.

This contradiction clearly appeared at the end of the London conference, because the participants did not agree to form a unified communication group, due to the differences between the United Arab Emirates on the one hand, and Egypt and Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, on the foundations of the management of the Sudanese government internationally recognized. At a time when Abu Dhabi seemed to appear as a neutral part as it practiced support on the clear ground for the militia. Perhaps the statements of certain European leaders – such as the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and its German counterpart – who have stressed the need to stop the external support of the contradictory parties, reveal an increasing conscience in Europe of nature composed of the conflict and its regional interventions.

For its part, the Sudanese government was clearly visible, and it refused attempts to bypass its legitimacy and described the London conference as “a great zero”, stressing that any research in the future of Sudan cannot take place outside the framework of recognition of state institutions, and without the involvement of the internationally recognized government. This position finds its resonance in the Sudanese street, which for two years of war turned out to be constant and its rejection of all attempts to distort the Sudanese armed forces or to undermine the unity of the country, which Great Britain could not read when it tried to write a new reality on the size of certain lobbies.

In this context, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia appears to be closest to the Sudanese mood and conscience, as it confirmed through its vice-minister of foreign affairs, Walid Al-Khuraiji, that the solution should be a Sudanese fundamental entry, and that the preservation of the sovereignty of the country is a fundamental entry of the stability of the region. The Kingdom has also committed – according to what the Minister of Finance Gabriel Ibrahim – to support the reconstruction of Sudan, a practical commitment that goes beyond letters, especially since Khartoum needs a new infrastructure, from the rehabilitation of the airport, to use government tasks and receive delegations.

While war raises lives and destroying the country’s capacities, with reports indicating the murder of at least 150,000 civilians and the displacement of more than 12 million people, some international and regional actors are still confronted with the crisis as a file of political pressure and not real human suffering. The insistence of certain forces to ignore the legitimate government at this stage and embrace unrecognized parties, represents a challenge for the principles of international law and hinders the chances of achieving a permanent solution.

According to what we see on the face of the truth, the reading of regional and international variables in the light of what happened in London confirms that there is no real peace cannot be based on turbulent sales, temporary alliances or colonies which do not take into account the facts on the ground. The way of the solution begins with the recognition of the existing government, respect for the will of the Sudanese people and the limitation of external interference, in particular among the parties which seek to prolong the war in a manner which serves its close interests to the detriment of security and the unity of Sudan.

You are fine and well.
