Medical supplies: 30 tons of malaria drugs received as first delivery to new headquarters

The National Fund for Medical Supplies has disclosed the receipt of a shipment of malaria drugs amounting to 30 tons to treat severe malaria through the support of the new Global Fund grant, in cooperation with UNICEF, as the first shipment received under the new project as well as the first shipment to be received at the new headquarters.

The Federal Minister of Health, the Executive Director of the National Medical Equipment Fund and several department directors stopped during their visit to the headquarters and stores of the newly established National Medical Equipment Fund, which serves the eastern sector. This is the first headquarters established after the war, among other strategic sector headquarters that have been established. The Fund is moving towards decentralization of the work of the Fund, noting that the comprehensive support project with UNICEF, which falls within this framework. of the efforts of the Federal Ministry of Health to combat malaria associated with the autumn season, stressing that the drugs received are sufficient for more than eight months.

The Executive Director of the Fund confirmed that the Fund's building and warehouses in the eastern sector of Port Sudan city have been prepared and maintained by the Government of Sudan in accordance with the required specifications for storage.
