The Minister of Culture and Information, official government spokesperson, Mr. Khaled Al-Aissar, explained in a press release that the expansion of Port Sudan Airport provides the opportunity to increase the number of international runways and airstrips to reach twelve. tracks to facilitate the movement of citizens and goods.
His Excellency said the project was carried out by an Indian consultancy firm specializing in airport expansions in an original partnership with the Engineering Ports Company of the Defense Industries System and the Sea Ports Authority.
He added that the expansion process is an important step. It is expected to be completed within a month, after which more than eighteen planes will begin operating.
