Ministry of Health launches Kuwaiti-Saudi grant for cancer patients in medical supply stores in Port Sudan
The Federal Ministry of Health, Medical Supplies Headquarters in Port Sudan, today launched the Kuwaiti-Saudi Grant in partnership between the Kuwaiti Red Crescent and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Foundation. Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Commissioner Dr. Ismat Mustafa said that the grant contributes to filling the gap of cancer patients at a cost of one million dollars provided by the Red Crescent Society of Kuwait in cooperation with the King Salman Relief Center and the Kuwait Patient Care Fund, indicating that humanitarian assistance continues. brotherly and friendly countries.
The undersecretary thanked the two countries that provided aid and provided cancer drugs and personal hygiene aids, emphasizing the need for many aids.
For his part, Abdul Rahman Al-Aoun, director of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, said that humanitarian aid in Sudan would continue, in cooperation with the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, to be delivered to the needy in all areas. the towns and villages of Sudan. He added that it is a duty we undertake towards our people in Sudan to alleviate their suffering, especially this aspect which is important. Al-Aoun confirmed that the shipment of medicines is part of the ongoing aid in accordance with the directives of Kuwaiti political leaders to support our brothers in Sudan, and that the association sent last September the first ship loaded with 190 tons of food and medical supplies, emphasizing that the shipment of cancer drugs will be followed by shipments of drugs for chronic diseases such as kidneys and diabetes, and that visits will be organized by medical staff Kuwaiti and Sudanese for joint cooperation between the ministries of health of the two countries.
