Othman Atta, Chairman of the National Civil Defense Council, headed by Major General Qurashi Hussein Abdul Qadir, Deputy Director General for Technical, Emergency and Disaster Affairs, accompanied by technical officers to provide logistical support to the state major. Qurshi said the support was provided to Kassala State to mitigate the effects of heavy rains and downpours that swept parts of the state, noting that the support included shelter equipment… and materials related to disinfection and sterilization. to know the latest developments of the river levels (Gash), in addition to determining the extent of the damage caused by the recent heavy rains in the state, he pointed out that upon arrival of the delegation, a meeting was held with the Minister of Infrastructure and the Head of the State Emergency Chamber of Commerce and the Director of Police in Kassala State, in addition to a visit to some sites affected by the heavy rains, including shelter homes. of the National Civil Defence Council assessed the extent of the damage in the state. His Excellency explained that the support convoy will be handed over to the state governor at the government secretariat in the presence of all members of the fall emergency committee.
