National Roads and Bridges Authority, pay attention to Shendi and Al-Matama bridges – scenes and evidence – ✍️ Absher Shajarabi

The Shendi Al-Matma Bridge is a development achievement that has contributed to supporting the process of social, commercial and agricultural communication between the two localities in addition to stimulating investments in them. It is considered a real addition to the infrastructure and progress of the economy. great investment opportunities to exploit the resources that the region abounds in for the well-being and stability of the Sudanese people. It was implemented by the Arab Contractors Company, considered one of the leading Egyptian companies.

The bridging contract was signed (on September 16, 2005) and the works started (on January 2, 2006) and their works were completed on (10/05/2009) with funding from the Ministry of Finance and National Economy through the National Bank of Omdurman. It was implemented by a consortium of Ram Energy and Arab Contractors. The main body was designed through the Engineering House and under the supervision of the Consulting House.

However, there is a big hole in the rubber on the west lane towards Shendi, at the end of the bridge, and this poses a major threat to the safety of vehicle drivers, especially those who have never crossed the bridge before, as the local driver has memorized the location of the hole.

On the other hand, on the same path, there are two holes in the guardrails due to accidents that occurred a long time ago and which have not been maintained to this day.

In addition, the Nile watering pipe that was placed on the same path has parts on the asphalt road, which poses a danger to cars and road users.

We hope for prompt processing by the relevant authorities so that we can avoid undesirable consequences.

We hope that the Sudanese will access ports of safety, prosperity and dignity through this multi-purpose and multi-use bridge.
