Nile Governor Launches Livestock Distribution Project, Confirming Their Bias in Favor of the Weak Segments and Welcoming FAO's Position in Supporting the State.
Dr. Muhammad Al-Badawi Abdul Majid Abu Qarun, Acting Governor of the Nile, confirmed their bias towards the weaker segments. This came while he was addressing the inauguration of the livestock distribution project aimed at improving nutrition and rebuilding the livelihoods of vulnerable groups. herders and farmers, under the auspices of the State Ministry of Livestock, with funding from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the implementation of the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations, in the presence of With the participation of members of the state government and the executive director of Al-Damer locality, the governor stressed the importance of these projects in improving the living standards and increasing the incomes of the targeted segments, praising the great response of FAO and its position alongside the state in many Al-Damer projects. Dr. Najda Al-Zubair Arbab, Minister of Livestock of the State, expressed her great joy at the launch of this project, which she described as important and vital. She indicated that the project was selected according to criteria specific to the target groups. In its first phase, the project covers the localities of Al-Buhaira, Al-Damer and Shendi. This phase targets the project 500 families in addition to a number of other accompanying projects include the vaccination project, fodder concentrates, and cuttlefish kernels to increase milk production and improve health.
Dr. Awad Al-Karim Al-Mubarak, Executive Director of Al-Damer Locality, spoke on behalf of the leaders of the targeted localities and thanked the state government, the Ministry of Livestock, FAO and the United Nations Peacekeeping Organization for standing alongside the vulnerable segments through this project, which is a result of focusing on production and increasing production.

Mrs. Rumaisa Al-Sheikh, Director of the United Nations Peace Organization implementing the project, expressed her great joy at the launch of this project, stressing that as a region and FAO partner, many projects have been implemented in the state in the past and a future plan focused on food security, improving living standards and increasing the income of vulnerable and targeted segments, praising the cooperation of the state government under the leadership of Mr. The governor is with FAO and the organization, which contributed to achieving these achievements and projects.
