Nile National Student Welfare Fund Improves Students' Mental Health Through Specialized Training Workshop

Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Hussein Kaltos, Secretary of the National Fund for Student Welfare in River Nile State, affirmed the Fund's commitment to harness all its capabilities to provide a stable residential environment, stressing the importance of mental health of students in academic success and social success.

This happened during the opening of an intensive training workshop for psychological counselors working in student residential complexes, which was held in the hall of the Fund.

The treasurer added that the workshop aims to strengthen the capacities of psychological counselors to deal with the various psychological challenges faced by students, which helps create an appropriate residential environment that promotes academic success.

Cultus appreciated the efforts of the Zakat office to focus on meal prices and provide free meals, food sponsorship and other services, expressing sincere thanks and appreciation to all partners who generously contributed to the student services.

For his part, Professor Hassan Haj Hamad Al-Saem, Director of Nile Valley University, praised the efforts made by the Fund to achieve the common goals of improving the conditions of students. He stressed the importance of implementing the results of the training workshop to strengthen psychological support for students and achieve integration between the efforts made by the university and the Fund.

Ms. Sawsan Abu Bakr, Director of the Student Services Department at the General Secretariat, highlighted the importance of this workshop in supporting the mental health of students, noting that current events cast a shadow over this important segment. She added that the workshop aims to qualify psychological counselors to be able to provide the necessary psychological support to students in these difficult circumstances.

While Mr. Qamar Al-Anbiya Hassan, Director of State Affairs, highlighted the importance of partnership and cooperation between universities, institutions and the State Secretariat to provide an integrated model of psychological support and social to students, emphasizing the need to develop a clear action plan. to achieve this objective.

Dr. Rayan Talaat, Head of the Department of Psychological Sciences at Nile Valley University, highlighted the importance of students' psychological motivation as an essential factor for academic success, emphasizing that psychological counselors play a role essential in this regard, especially in light of the difficult economic conditions that students face and which affect their psychological stability.

At the start of the session, Ms. Kawthar Mahjoub, Director of State Student Services, made a comprehensive presentation on the role of the Fund in providing a healthy and stable environment for more than 12,000 students, highlighting the importance of psychological counseling. by strengthening their self-confidence.

The workshop was well attended by psychological counselors working in student residential complexes and covered two research papers. The first was presented by Dr. Rayan Talaat, in which she discussed the importance of psychological counseling and educational guidance. Professor Al-Rashid Al-Baili, Professor of Psychology at Al-Nilein University, presented a research paper on communication and problem-solving skills.

The workshop aims to develop the skills of psychological counselors in the area of ​​effective communication and problem solving, and to enable them to deal with the various psychological problems faced by students, and thus contribute to the construction of a healthy student society.

This workshop is considered an important step towards supporting the mental health of students in Nile State and reflects the commitment of government institutions and universities to work together to provide a healthy and supportive environment for students.
