These efforts include the provision of regular veterinary care, the organization of vaccination campaigns to combat epidemic diseases threatening the health of animals, such as septicemia, smallpox and plague, as well as the development of training centers and raising awareness among breeders and their contacts to provide them with the necessary knowledge on modern breeding methods and health care. The ministry is also working to improve agricultural extension services and provide fodder to improve livestock production and support the state's economy. This is done using the health framework, which takes care of animal health, reduces the spread of diseases and provides comprehensive veterinary services, which helps improve animal health and therefore increase productivity.
She indicated during her speech that the 2025 plan brings numerous projects that contribute to the preservation of breeds through the activation of the veterinary career, which is one of the fundamental measures undertaken by the Ministry of Livestock to protect livestock from the spread of infectious diseases. Quarantine consists of isolating animals suspected of being infected or coming from contaminated or infected areas for a specified period, with the aim of ensuring that they are free of disease before introducing them into local herds, especially more than a large number of imported animals and their owners entered the state.

As for food security in the state, 2,500 heads of goats were distributed as a grant from the Swiss Agency through FAO to several localities in the state, Al-Damer-Atbara and Shendi.
