Nile: State media launches dialogue forums to promote popular cohesion
The Media Department of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Communications of River Nile State has announced the launch of a series of media forums at the national and local levels, with the aim of strengthening popular cohesion and supporting the armed forces in the face of current challenges.
This came during the regular meeting of the administration, in which the Director of State Information, Mr. Fath al-Rahman Ghattas, praised the role of the locality of Shendi as a model in this field. Fath al-Rahman stressed that these forums will discuss vital issues such as support, mobilization and popular resistance, in implementation of the directives of the Minister of State for Culture and Information, Mr. Mustafa al-Sharif.
Fath al-Rahman added that the forums will work to strengthen popular cohesion with the armed forces, in addition to addressing social and service issues. He also stressed the importance of the media movement to confront systematic media against the principles of the Sudanese people and to confront security threats through intensive awareness programs on the fight against drugs.
The move is part of the state government's efforts to strengthen security and stability and unify ranks to address the challenges facing the country.
