Nominations outside the media … Questions about the post of secretary -general of the press and publications council, where the stakeholders – the largest of Al -Dai – ✍️ Dr Mohamed Tabidi are

In a surprising and controversial step, the final list of the Secretary General of the Press and Publications Council included three candidates, all outside the press and the media, who opened the door to questions and fears about the future of one of the most sensitive and influential institutions of the Sudanese media scene.

The Council, which is supposed to be the faithful guardian of the professional, and the highest reference for the ethics of the profession and guarantee freedom of expression in accordance with the law, is at a crossroads, after the specialists were ignored in favor of candidates who do not hold professional circles in the press or the media.

Professional experience is not a luxury, but rather an authentic condition for the leadership of institutions of this size and this influence

How can advice regulate and control the work of the media to manage from the outside of the press house?

What decisions will be made by general confidence that does not know the reality of the press field or its daily challenges?!

Almighty God says:

{If the best of faithful power is hired}

Is there a force in the absence of the press people? Is it in their honesty of exclusion?!

The Sudanese press fought fierce battles for its freedom and professionalism, and presented the martyrs of speech and prisoners of opinion, and it is not appropriate that it is led today by those who do not know the weight of the word, neither the consequences of the title, nor the sacred character of the pen.

We do not underestimate anyone, but we increase the status of specialization and respect the value of the experience. For justice, evaluation should not be in the academic diploma or political relations, but rather professional efficiency, and the capacity to differentiate freedom of expression and chaos, between constructive criticism and incentive, and between the sincere and honest journalist.

The press is not led by technocrats or compliments, but is rather managed by the national meaning and rooted knowledge.

And if the media are exceeded in the choice of the secretary-general

What did we justify that in front of the press base?!

Do we accept tomorrow that the judiciary is managed by those who do not know the law?

Or that the army is led by someone who does not have the soldier’s honor?!

Journalists do not seek a privilege, but rather demanding an authentic right: choosing those which represent them from them, because it is not an administrative function, but rather a moral and professional responsibility of nationalism, although I am amateur and outside the center.

I will write to the homeland until my last breath.
