Northern Governor Addresses Investigator Training Course, Public Health Empowerment Program for Immunization

“The Governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, has renewed his government's continued support and interest in the promotion and development of the health sector and in the provision of the best health and medical services to the population of the state.

He praised the efforts of personnel working in the health field, especially vaccination workers at the national and local levels.

In his speech today at the hall of the General Administration of Basic Health Care in Dongola, he confirmed the conclusion of the training course for investigators, the Public Health Immunization Empowerment Program, which targeted (24) students from the north and north. Nile States, and a number (9) of supervisors, and was held by the Federal Ministry of Health, represented by the General Administration of the Expanded Immunization Program in cooperation with the Middle East Public Health Network (AMPHNET ).

He stressed the need to continue training and qualification programmes for health personnel, especially those working under the Expanded Programme on Immunization, and provide them with supports and means to enable them to carry out their role and mission in the required manner, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is going through and the Northern State is hosting a large number of expatriates, which compels all institutions to review their plans and policies and establish a new vision and map to accommodate expatriates in all activities and programmes implemented by the State Government, especially in the State. In the field of health, the Director General of the Ministry of Health in charge of the Northern State, Dr. Yasser Ahmed Abdel-Wadud, confirmed that health issues and projects continue to find support and great interest from the state government, indicating that the ministry's growing interest in training and capacity building for health work practitioners and agents in the field of public health and vaccination in order to increase efficiency and scientific knowledge, improve and improve performance, and provide a distinguished health service to the citizen. In addition, the representative of the Federal Ministry of Health, Mr. Nasser Jubara Al-Khader, explained that the training of vaccination investigators in the Northern and Nahr Nile states, in light of the current circumstances, is considered a major achievement for which the federal government should be thanked. The Ministry of Health, represented by the General Administration of Basic Health Care, the Expanded Program on Immunization, the Middle East Public Health Network (AMPHNET) and the State Ministry of Health, stressing the importance of these trainings for vaccination investigators and providing them with the skills and scientific knowledge that enable them to respond quickly to combat diseases and epidemics, indicating that the Federal Ministry of Health has continuously monitored the exceptional performance of the workers of the Expanded Program on Immunization in the Northern State. In turn, the representative of the Middle East Public Health Network (EMPHNET), Dr. Al-Fatih Malik, confirmed that the public health empowerment program adopted by the network aims to train, qualify and build the capacities of workers in the health field. He highlighted the implementation of three training workshops in Dongola and Atbara. He added that the program started in 2017 and 112 students graduated during this period in various states of Sudan. He said that the program aimed at empowering public health workers was considered. part of the field epidemiology program, stressing that in the next phase, the AMVNET plan will cover (7) states, which are the northern sector states, Nile, the northern sector, the eastern sector states, the Red Sea. , Gedaref, Kassala and the central sector states, Sinnar and Blue Nile. Meanwhile, the Director of the Expanded Immunization Program in the Northern State, Professor Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Al Abadi, explained that those who graduated from the workshop. the third work related to the public health empowerment program for survey and vaccination officers represents an important addition in the field of meeting the needs of the citizen and creating a society protected from childhood infectious diseases, congratulating all those who contributed and participated in the success of the training workshop.
