Northern governor chairs meeting on mineral zakat in state
The Governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, chairs in his office the mineral zakat meeting with the competent authorities in the presence of the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Federal Zakat Office.
Director General of Collections at the General Secretariat of the Zakat Office Al-Khair Yousef Nour El-Din said the aim of the meeting was to discuss how to benefit from the revenues of the state's traditional mining collections and that there be He stressed that the governor has a clear vision and expects decisions to be made on the matter.
Youssef explained that during the meeting it was agreed to provide the executive directors of the localities with information about Karta companies and their ownership to the Zakat Office, to include the Zakat Office among the members of the councils of mining coordination at the local level and create a database for miners of large mines, in addition to distributing Zakat employees at the entrances and exits of mining markets to create an umbrella for Zakat in the state.
In turn, Director of the Sudan Mineral Resources Company in the Northern State, Abdul Rahman Al-Nadif, said that the meeting resulted in a number of joint agreements regarding zakat mining in Northern State, stressing that the state had made great progress. in this regard, and said that many mining sectors have fulfilled their obligations towards Zakat and taxes.
Al-Nadhif said the meeting discussed the northern state's gold exports and its participation in national production.
He also discussed how to establish a gold market and establish a gold refinery in the state, and highlighted that the meeting will have implications on how to closely monitor and monitor the mining sector and ports and passages to combat smuggling.
