Northern Governor reviews performance of Islamic Endowments Office

The Acting Governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awad, this morning discussed in his office with the Secretary of the Northern State Islamic Endowments Office, Mr. Al-Amin Muhammad Khair, the obstacles hindering the functioning of the office.

During the meeting, he reviewed the report of the first quarter of the year 2023-2024 and their participation in social and advocacy activities and works through the Supreme Committee for the Ramadan 1445 AH program, in which were supported the poor families and expatriates.

The secretary of the Diwan of Islamic Endowments said in a statement on Voice of the Armed Forces radio that he had requested the northern governor to reinstate the Diwan of Islamic Endowments to the state planning committee with regard to the article 24 of the law on endowments in order to allocate the resources of the Diwan. He also called for allocation of agricultural land for endowment and investment in the different localities of the state to open new educational and health facilities, student breakfast project in schools and a number of banks for develop endowment banks.

During the meeting, he discussed the themes of the endowment projects for the year 2024, including the establishment of a project for the Ministry of Education, the Ibn Khaldoun commercial complex, consisting of 20 properties in the the former Ministry of Education, and the establishment of the Martyr Ahmed Qasim School, whose work is almost completed and will be discussed by the local and state committee of financiers to establish the education support project.

Stressing that all this work is in the interest of educational institutions and others

The Acting Governor of the northern state, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, has promised to resolve all obstacles hindering the progress of the works in the next stage.

He underlined his support for the Endowments so that they fully fulfill their high mission.
