Northern Governor Reviews Sudan Mineral Resources Corporation's Plan to Help People Affected by Floods, Rains

The Acting Governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, commended the prompt response of the Sudan Mineral Resources Corporation and its contribution to the response to address the aftermath of the torrents and rains that caused extensive damage to homes, properties and infrastructure in the state and to provide assistance to the affected people,

This came during his meeting with the company's delegation visiting the state, and the state governor received clarifications on the implementation of the company's plan to assist the affected people and maintain and rehabilitate roads washed away by the floods. the government advisor, His Excellency Major General Kamal Musa, and the executive director of Dongola locality, Dr. Makkawi Al-Khair.

The Director of the General Department of Traditional Mining at the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mr. Hatem Al-Bushra Al-Sayed, explained that the meeting focused on the situation in the state in light of the current circumstances and the participation of the mining sector in reducing the effects of floods and rains, indicating that the delegation will continue its visit to the state to urge gold producing companies to participate in preventing the effects of the fall within the framework of social responsibility projects, highlighting the company's interventions to address the damage caused by floods on the territory. roads.

He added that the meeting discussed the company's contribution to the state's fall emergency plan, which includes reaching affected areas and helping to solve urgent problems by providing shelter, food and medicine, in addition to participating in the reconstruction phase and environmental sanitation campaigns.
