Northern state governor discusses with Al-Dafufa agricultural project delegation issues hampering project work
“The Governor of the Northern State, Abdeen Awadallah, discussed with the delegation of the Al-Dafufa agricultural project in the locality of Al-Barqiq, which included the board of directors and the farmers' committee of the project, a discussion on the problems that The work of the project was hampered, in the presence of the Director General of the Ministry of Production and State Economic Resources, Engineer Hussein Abdel Ghafour.
In the same context, a member of the project's board of directors, Dr. Jibril Abdel Latif, said in statements after the meeting that the state governor had been informed of the problems of the project, which has been blocked for two years, and ways to resolve it. find radical solutions to the problem of depletion of groundwater and electricity.
He called on the state government to contribute towards the maintenance and rehabilitation of the valley and cleaning of irrigation canals.
The meeting highlighted the importance of attracting investors to the project to increase production, and explained that the project area extends to 22,000 acres and will contribute to the development of the economy of the state and Sudan .
