Opening of the American Corner in the Dean of Libraries of the Red Sea University

The Red Sea University inaugurated the “American Corner”, as part of an approach aimed at promoting education and cultural exchange, at the headquarters of the Dean of Libraries, in the presence of Professor Abdul Qadir Badawi Muhammad, Director of the university, Professor Al-Senussi. Ahmed, Head of the Educational and Cultural Department of the American Embassy, and his accompanying delegation, as well as Dr. Saeed Siraj, Director of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Relations of the University, Professor Samah Samir, Head of the Department of College English. of Arts, as well as a number of department heads, faculty members and interested individuals.
Professor Abdul Qader Badawi expressed his joy at the opening of the American Corner, describing it as the result of a distinguished partnership between the university and the American Embassy, emphasizing the importance of the corner in enabling students and researchers to access valuable sources of information. information for all interested people, including university professors and students, as well as universities housed within the university. The university director called on all those interested in human heritage and cultural exchange to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the American Corner, praising the role of the Dean of Libraries, led by Dr. Ahlam, in the implementation of this project.
For her part, Dr. Ahlam Saleh, Dean of Libraries, thanked the university administration and the American Embassy for their continued support, noting that the American Corner will represent a qualitative addition to the university by providing valuable sources of information which were previously difficult to access. due to database ban.
She confirmed her aspiration to expand the scope of American Corner's services to include the state's community, particularly in the area of English language improvement and academic skills development.
In the same context, Professor Al-Senussi Ahmed, representative of the cultural attaché at the American Embassy, said that the American Corner is the product of a partnership between the American Department of State, represented by the American embassy, and the Red Sea. The University, with the aim of strengthening understanding and cultural exchange between the people of Sudan and the United States, welcomed the great cooperation they found from the university administration, and the dean of libraries, emphasizing the embassy's readiness to support all activities that serve this objective. .
It is worth noting that this step constitutes the culmination of a partnership agreement signed by the Red Sea University with the US Embassy with the aim of strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between the two parties and providing resources educational support for the development of students and researchers.
