President of the Sovereignty Council travels to New York to attend meetings of the United Nations General Assembly
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, traveled to New York today, leading the Sudanese delegation participating in the work of the United Nations General Assembly.
He was received at Port Sudan International Airport by the Vice Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Mr. Malik Aqar Air, the Member of the Sovereignty Council, Mr. Abdullah Yahya, the Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Dr. Mohieddin Naeem, the Governor of the Red Sea State, Lt. Gen. Mustafa Mohamed Nour, and Lt. Gen. Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Youssef, the Secretary General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Head of the Peace Commission, Prof. Suleiman Al-Dabailo,
The President of the Sovereign Council is due to deliver Sudan's address to the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, September 26.
On the sidelines of the work of the United Nations General Assembly, the President of the Sovereignty Council will meet with several presidents of various countries around the world. With representatives of international and regional organizations, to discuss means of bilateral cooperation and the role of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the United Nations to build a more stable future.
For one week, around 150 heads of state and government from around the world will deliver their speeches at this annual event on which all eyes are turned.
