Addressing the summit of signatory parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change today, he explained that Sudan, like other countries, has called for the need to implement the Climate Change Agreement. Paris as a major priority in this regard.
Highlighting that Sudan is effectively contributing to the implementation of the agreement at the global, regional and national levels, emphasizing that the issue of climate adaptation remains a top priority for the Government of Sudan, due to its impact on programs national development.

We meet today and our planet is facing a challenge, and the challenges are increasing dramatically due to the effects of climate change and its negative impacts on important sectors of people's lives in the areas of water , agriculture, food security, health and natural resources of Sudan. , like other countries, has highlighted the need to implement the Paris Agreement as a major priority. My country continues to contribute effectively to the implementation of the agreement at the global, regional and national levels. The issue of climate adaptation has remained a top priority for the government due to its impact on national development programs.

My country is exposed to the aggression launched against it by the regionally supported rebel Rapid Support militia, and the serious damage that this war has caused to the State and its economic and environmental structure has been doubly damaged by the climate change. , unsustainable practices resulting from war have contributed, such as increased logging, internal displacement and shifting of agricultural land, and increased pollution resulting from war remnants following the destruction of infrastructure . Despite this, we have taken the initiative to develop a national plan that includes climate change adaptation projects within the framework of development.
We have also adopted numerous policies and procedures and adopted plans and programs to increase production efficiency and increase the rate of dependence on alternative and renewable energy.
