Rapid response with 1,750 food baskets from Direct Aid Society and Gezira State Government appreciates support and assistance
The Direct Aid Society provided 1,750 food baskets to displaced people in eastern Al-Jazeera State, which were distributed in the localities of New Halfa, Atbara River and Khashm Al-Girba as rapid intervention after the displacement of a large number of citizens from the eastern areas of Al-Jazeera and the Al-Butana plain received these figures, which are experiencing a continuous increase. Every hour, the number of displaced people has reached more than 150,000 people so far. , some of whom were accommodated in camps and accommodation centers, and some of whom remained in the open in squares and squares. The support from Direct Aid Society included a food basket consisting of 10 kilograms of wheat flour, 10 kilograms of sugar, 10 kilograms of lentils, 5 kilograms of corn flour, a 4.5 liter bottle of food fuel, in addition to 'an electric blanket with Kuwaiti support.
Furthermore, the Secretary General of the Gezira State Government, Mr. Mortada Al-Baili, appreciated the assistance provided to the displaced people and thanked community organizations and initiatives for their solidarity with the people of the state of Gezira. and the speed with which assistance was provided had a positive impact on the morale of the population.
