Reflections on the Sudanese political scene ✍️ d. ALAA IMAD AL -DIN AL -BADRI

The Sudanese scene is at a specific stage which allows everyone to join sincere national principles and to work honestly for the interest of the country and the citizen. In the midst of these complex circumstances, certain political practices which call for meditation have emerged, the most important of which can be described as positions and a contradiction in public discourse, which weakens the confidence of citizens and hinders the path of the desired national consensus.
We have recently seen the emergence of personalities trying to restore their presence by adopting a discourse that reflects sympathy for the people and shows the vintage of their interests, but this discourse, even if it is in their appearance, is often collision with a reality that does not reflect the same commitment on the ground, because true patriotism is not measured in words, but with fixed positions, material work and public interests.
There is no doubt that the history of certain politicians must be respected, but the current stage requires a renewal of thought and practice and a transgression of the state of dependence of the past. Today, Sudan needs someone to say: “Here I am”, not that is based solely on what it was before.
On the other hand, the consciousness and the high sense of the Sudanese people who make them more able to distinguish sincere situations and those dictated by the political moment. These people crossed one of the hardest orders in their modern history, which was the war which was only the fruit of the conflicts of elite of power and with all this, people remained solid and favorable to their armed forces and who supported them to put themselves in security.
Consequently, it is necessary that politicians realize that the next step requires clarity, honesty and consistency on principles. Regarding attempts at political coloring or climbing the wave of popular emotion, it has become exposed and does not find any acceptance that may have been received in the past.
We can say that the future of Sudan is not manufactured by individuals or slogans. Heavy for the good of his freedom and his stability and will no longer accept, except for honesty, clarity and real commitment to his problems.
