Resignation of Finance Minister Jibril.. Rules of history – Journey – ✍️ Mahfouz Abdeen

Discussions have resumed once again on the resignation of Finance Minister Jibril Ibrahim from his post, after the Council of Ministers opened the door for the appointment of a competent person for the post of Secretary General of the Tax Administration after dismissing the former secretary close to the Minister of Finance, Jibril Ibrahim.

It was stated in the media that the Minister of Finance may tender his resignation from his post if the dismissed or fired Secretary of the Tax Office does not return to his post, and it was also stated in these media that the Justice Movement and equality intends to present its point of view or position after its president presented his resignation from the position he obtained under the Juba peace agreement, led by the Hemedti government, who rebelled against the State and wanted to swallow it up for the benefit of others.

I think Finance Minister Jibril Ibrahim is too smart to put himself, his movement, the government and the entire state on one side, while the return of the sacked Treasury Secretary, close to Jibril, is on the other. .

I believe that no matter how competent this man is and how successful he is in his position, he will remain in this position for personal reasons without the estimates of the government which removed him from office for certain reasons including what is planned and previously suggested in the media in estimates of the tax value of certain companies operating in the oil field, or for unforeseen reasons known to the government. This is why the government was able to relieve this man of his post and open the door to his successor, under certain conditions. and well-known conditions that were published after the opening of the application period.

Whatever the strength of the relationship between the Minister of Finance and the Secretary of the Tax Office, whether related to family, professional or other ties, they do not determine the vision of the State in the management of government affairs. .

As is known, the Tax Office is an important resource of the State and the government relies on it for its general budget, according to which development projects and the rest of the known budgetary agenda are set.

The government cannot make its public policies and strategy dependent on the kinship relationship between the Minister of Finance and the Secretary of the Tax Office, whether that relationship is merciful, professional, political or even disgraceful.

If the Minister of Finance persists and insists on his position, as the media say, and I don't think he will, then he will be putting his political future and that of the movement for justice and equality in the country in a critical position. situation. It erases the strong and luminous positions in the national action presented by the Minister of Finance and his movement in the battle for dignity led by the armed forces to maintain the security, stability and sovereignty of the country.

As we mentioned earlier, as strong and established as the relations between the Minister of Finance and the Secretary of the Tax Office are, they are not stronger than those between President Al-Bashir and Sheikh Hassan Al -Turabi, which ended in a well-known historical turning point, one of the results of which was the current situation in which we currently live. The relationship of the Minister of Finance with the Secretary of the Tax Office will not be stronger than that which united Al-Bashir and Hemedti, nor stronger than the relationship which united Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi and Mubarak Al. -Fadil Al-Mahdi, which resulted in a political separation.

It is recent history that governs these strong and close relationships, which no one expected would end in separation.

Just as time governs these relationships, its decision regarding the relationship between the Minister of Finance and the Secretary of Taxation will inevitably come.
