The Director General said during his speech at today's meeting in the hall of the Technical Secretariat for Food Security of Sinja, in the presence of the Director of the State Rainfall Sector, the Director General of Irrigated Projects of Sinar , the Director-General of Plant Protection, and a number of international organizations working in agricultural affairs, employees of the ministry and a number of farmers, he said, said that the State sought with all its official agencies to eliminate all obstacles to the success of the agricultural campaign. .

He appreciated the role of FAO in supporting the agricultural process and said his ministry had started submitting a comprehensive plan to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) with the aim of providing fatwas to small farmers.

Highlighting the continuity of agricultural pest control programs and monitoring the supply of pesticides for the summer season to combat birds, night locusts and other pests.

Regarding the financing aspect, the Director General confirmed that it was discussed with the Ministry of Finance and that it was agreed that the financing would be direct and rapid.

He stressed that the road had no significant impact on securing the region for the transportation of petroleum products, including gasoline, and said contracts had been concluded with some farmers to supply fuel since Port Sudan through existing partners and companies.

Regarding irrigated projects, he said their importance had been discussed after the absence of the Al-Jazeera project, and he acknowledged that there are major challenges facing irrigated projects, particularly financing. He added: Because it is an operational and rehabilitation sector in terms of infrastructure and rehabilitation. pumps.

He added that his ministry is focusing this year on agricultural extension and its intervention in increasing production and productivity by using improved technologies to improve production in general.

He revealed the creation of a room to monitor the success of the agricultural campaign at the level of the state, localities and administrative units, in addition to the technical committee of the Ministry of Agriculture to monitor procedures, plans and costs, explaining that the distance from the center requires a movement mechanism.
