Lieutenant General Shams al-Din al-Kabashi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, inaugurated today the Central Police Hospital in Port Sudan, accompanied by the Director General of the Police Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Hassan and the Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Commissioner Dr. Ismat Mustafa, Commander of the Red Sea Military Region and Director of the Medical Services Department of the Police Forces and the Police Command and Administration Authority.
The Director of the Police Force Medical Services Department, Lieutenant General Dr. Amira Abbas, said that the opening of the Central Police Hospital is a real addition to the health sector and will help fill the shortage of medical services, noting that the hospital has a large number of medical specialties and provides “third-level specialized” health care services to police personnel and citizens through health insurance services, she added, that health is an inherent right of the citizen and the opening of the hospital came rightly. It is time to provide medical services in Port Sudan. She went on to say that the Police Medical Services Department has rehabilitated and maintained two police station hospitals in the city of Port Sudan to serve a large sector of citizens and members of other regular forces.
Amira stressed that the General Administration of Medical Services provides medical services and hospitals in ten states of the country, stressing that she visited these states and resolved many problems.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Commissioner Dr. Ismat Mustafa stated that the Central Police Hospital is integrated and ready to provide medical services to police personnel and citizens, and is considered a real addition to the health sector. It provides health services at the third level of specialized hospitals and contributes to the health sector. localization of treatment within, indicating that the Ministry will work to fill the gaps in the hospital, in cooperation with the Sovereignty Council, the Ministry of Finance and the rest of the partners, and he added that the main concern of the Ministry of Health is to. provide medical services in military and civilian hospitals to all citizens and service seekers.
