Shendi: 100 operations carried out and 3,000 cases recorded in Al-Ayoun camp

The eye camp, implemented by the Al-Basr Charitable Foundation and Shendi University, conducted more than a hundred operations and more than 3,000 cases were recorded by the middle of the second day of the camp, which continues until next Thursday.

On the first day, the camp received a large crowd of patients, but the good organization absorbed the large crowd.

The Executive Director of Shindi locality, Khaled Abdul Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, inspected the examination clinics and the operation room and was assured of the safety and smooth conduct of the procedures organized by a number of voluntary organizations , including the Sons of Shindi Initiative. to regular forces.

Khaled Abdel Ghaffar praised the great role that Shendi University plays in serving the community. He said Shendi University was an important addition to the Shendi community and was one of the first institutions to handle the war crisis with the local and third infantry divisions and open its doors. its medical and therapeutic institutions for all Sudanese patients, notably at the cardiac center and the cancer research and treatment center and opened its interiors to welcome arrivals.

The Executive Director praised the role of the Al-Basr Charitable Foundation, which has rendered a great service to the Shindi community and above all to the entire Sudanese people.

For his part, Chairman of the Shendi University Council, Engineer Al-Muatasem Ibrahim, said that the establishment of the camp was the natural result of the university's cooperation with institutions, including the Al Charitable Foundation -Basr, who implemented the largest ophthalmological camp. the country has never witnessed.

He highlighted that the success of the camp was that the preparation of registrations reached the planned number and the operations on the second day were (25%) of the planned number.
