Shendi: Clearing (16) kilograms of gutters and (360) backfill skips to treat depressions
Shendi locality completed the cleaning of more than (16) kilograms of rain drains inside the city and other peripheral areas, and depressions inside the Grand Market and administrative units of the north and of South Shendi were treated with more than 360 backfill skips.
Director of the General Department of Engineering Affairs of Shendi locality, Engineer Hisham Ibrahim, said that the work is continuing at a faster pace to implement all the required treatments in preparation for the fall.
He pointed out that the cleaning of storm drains has involved all administrative units, and that (10) kilograms have been carried out in the city and (6) kilograms in the Kabushieh unit, and embankments have also been carried out in Kabushiah to treat the depressions, which have so far been destroyed. reached (80) dumpers with a capacity of 16 cubic meters, and the same in the south of Shendi includes some low-lying areas in Qlayaat, Al-Hush and Qandtu.
Hisham Ibrahim said many earthen dams have been built in some areas that could be threatened by torrents or floods.
He announced that the sides of the road entering the city from the National Challenge Road have been treated with concrete, which is a distinctive and high-quality concrete. The treatment on this road required more than 150 skips.
Executive Director of Shendi locality Khaled Abdul Ghaffar Al-Sheikh on Saturday inspected the progress of works in storm sewers in Shaqalwa, Musikatab and Tarajma areas. The next day, he chaired the meeting of the autumn emergency committee and ordered it to be done. accelerate the pace of work so as to achieve the results of the committee meeting in order to protect the lives and property of citizens from any threat to them due to rain, torrents and floods.
