Shendi Executive: Local government did not do more than its duty towards expatriates in Khartoum and Gezira states

The Executive Director of Shendi locality, Khaled Abdul Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, said that the official and popular Shendi only did its duty towards the expatriates from Khartoum and Gezira states who came to the locality under circumstances known to everyone.

Addressing the support convoy led by the Federal Humanitarian Aid Commission under the direction of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Ghaffar indicated that the popular effort was strongly present and sometimes preceded the official effort.

He said major institutions in Shendi, such as the Third Division, Shendi University, police, intelligence agencies and voluntary and social organizations, all provided support and employed their available human cadres and capabilities. to serve Shendi expatriates. Khartoum, the island, hosted by Shendi.

He stressed that the Nile State government, led by the governor and relevant authorities, remained in a state of close monitoring of everything related to the conditions of arrivals in Shendi.

The executive director of the locality of Shindi, Khaled Abdul Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, renewed his thanks to everyone for the work carried out with their expatriate families.

Furthermore, the Chairman of the Support Committee, Engineer Al-Muatasem Ibrahim, Chairman of the Council of Shendi University, reviewed the efforts made to shelter arrivals from the east of the island and receive the support for institutions, organizations, families and young entrepreneurs. , including multiple and varied support in food, clothing, accommodation, therapeutic services, monitoring of emergency cases and special care for owners of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and asthma.

He expressed thanks and appreciation to the Federal Government, which extended this support, accompanied by a large delegation comprising a number of ministers and officials led by the Minister of Justice, Maulana Muawiyah Muhammad Khair.
