Shendi: More than (20) new waste transport mechanisms
The executive director of Shindi locality, Khaled Abdul Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, announced that the locality had signed an agreement with a bank to finance 25 mechanisms for transporting waste from markets and neighborhoods.
The Executive Director added, while inaugurating the environmental sanitation campaign in block (12), that the locality continues to implement these campaigns, even local at the state and Sudan level, in terms of cleanliness, and that Shindi has already won awards for cleanliness at Sudan level.
He stressed that this work targets all administrative units and is not limited to city squares and nearby neighborhoods.
For her part, the director of the locality health department, Samia Othman, said that sanitation campaigns will continue and will not stop until cleanliness becomes a culture among people and among all age groups . So that this work is a culture, everyone. stakeholders such as media, education, family and continuing guidance should be involved in densely populated areas of schools, universities, etc.
She revealed that the Department of Health is working in several directions, not waste, and that the Department is doing important work in the field of health of drinking water, food and food safety, in especially in stores specializing in the sale of food products, the safety of consumer goods and monitoring expiration dates.
The director of the municipal unit, Nasr al-Din Ali Ishaq, explained that the success achieved from the beginning in squares (8) and (12) is a good indicator of the interest generated by the culture of cleanliness and environmental sanitation. with the participation of different age groups.
