⭕ With a strong emphasis on the importance of integrating and supporting the blind in society, the Executive Director of Shendi Locality, Mr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, highlighted the important role that the blind play in supporting and assisting in various aspects of society and national life.

He linked his praise to the ambitious plans and programs developed by the Union of the Blind to confirm their active presence in society, through his speech in the program honoring supporters of people with special needs.

⭕The program came as an expression of thanks and appreciation to all those who have contributed to supporting the blind and in honor of their constant march towards new achievements.

⭕ In the presence of senior officials and representatives of the Red Crescent Society and the Zakat Office, the awardees were thanked for their continued efforts to support the Union's programmes, which aim to enhance the social and cultural contributions of the blind in Shendi and beyond.

⭕ The Director of the Zakat Office, Mr. Ayoub Ahmed Abdel Majid, added that the Office is ready to continue providing financial and in-kind support to people with special needs, announcing a plan to provide significant cash support in the coming days, in addition to meeting some of the necessary needs of the blind, as part of the Office's efforts to ensure their inclusion in the social and cultural system more broadly.

⭕ The event confirmed that blind people are an integral part of the social fabric and have the capacity to make a valuable contribution when given sufficient support. Through hard work and diligence, the daily challenges they face can be overcome, especially with the continued support of government and civil institutions.
