So what happens after seventy years of independence? ✍️Laïla Ziadeh
Today we are experiencing a great national event in the history of our nation, which is the sixty-ninth anniversary of the glorious independence, announced in Parliament on December 19, 1955. Since that date, our country has gone through lots of turning points and events that there isn't enough space to mention, but that we want to highlight. It is the sixty-ninth anniversary in particular because it coincided with the most dangerous stage that the country has gone through during its long history. which was a major conspiracy aimed at the demise of the Sudanese state by dismantling the national army and allowing the militias to control Sudan, then creating a new reality imposed by the militias and the regional and international powers behind them to achieve their goals of fragmentation of the Sudanese state, displacement of its population, dismantling of its institutions, then looting of its wealth.
But the legendary and wonderful reaction of the army and the cohesion of the people aborted this evil plan in its infancy, despite the capabilities, weaponry and support it had mobilized.
We must now think differently, seventy years after we snatched our glorious independence from the teeth of Britain, so we ask ourselves: why have we fallen behind, despite our distinction as a people, and why have our achievements failed? Were they not equivalent to these years?
The answer, in my humble and simple opinion, is that we have not given our country the status and status it deserves in our souls, and that we have not stripped ourselves of some of the negative things that have long held. In my opinion, the most dangerous of these is selfishness, self-esteem and putting narrow interests ahead of higher national interests for many of us.
Many national interests have been disrupted due to this narrow and one-sided vision, which reflects a lack of national consciousness.
Let us forget the past and begin our first step in a correct way, the title of which is the homeland. We must reject hateful racism and believe that we are Sudanese. From Port Sudan to El Geneina and from Halfa to Gouda we are included. in the same country, we have the same rights and the same duties. The human and material capabilities at our disposal place us at the forefront of the world. We must be sincere in our work because God has ordained it and because the country needs us. be sincere to move our country forward, and loyalty to our country begins with imposing compulsory and free education, because ignorance is the basis. All evil, and let national and moral values be at the center of this education, because investing in human development and the spirit is the most valuable investment, then reforming state institutions to prevent them from sag and of those who cannot add any innovation, development or capacity. to formulate new ideas that contribute to development and improvement. And on those who are in the upper pyramid of these institutions, we work to continue communication between generations and transfer experiences to the new generation, instead of hiding behind ivory towers and fighting everyone who wish it. add something, because life will continue, as we always repeat the famous wisdom if As long as it lasts for others, as long as it affects you, let us strip ourselves of our selfishness for the good of God and then of the country. This selfishness has brought us to the point of injustice and envy of the success of others, which brings us to injustice and envy of the success of others. It is without a doubt that if we look carefully, we will find that it is the success of the motherland for the big ones. Let us know those below us, for they are the source of the future, and let us not look. at home as competitors. We have privilege and positions.
We must be aware that the homeland is not a luxury car, a luxurious house or the elegant clothes we wear. The homeland, gentlemen, is something that is far from being described or limited to details. The homeland is a disgrace to the homeland and does not deserve to live on its soil, breathe its air, enjoy its good things and walk among its good people.
The homeland must now support our armed forces with everything we have so that our country recovers from the scourge of evil, walkers, traitors and collaborators of the enemy.
The homeland is that we reject any external project that imposes on us the presence of the militia and those who support it, including foreign employees and agents of embassies and foreign intelligence, even if this war continues for a thousand years, and we We will be victorious at its end, God willing.
The homeland must remember the men of the armed forces who sacrificed their lives and left their families and children so that we can enjoy security and taste the taste of victory. Where are we regarding their heroic sacrifices and historical positions?
The Homeland must strike with an iron fist any despicable person whose sinful hands have been stained by the horrible crimes that have affected the country and its people, especially those who cooperated with the militias, because they are a thousand times more dangerous than the enemy.
Let the time of courtesies pass without returning, for there is no great personage in the presence of the nation, for we are all its servants and soldiers.
The homeland is for us to bear arms with one hand and to build with the other. Let the owners of the malicious project, the militia and its collaborators, know that we will not leave this land, that we will live there with dignity and that we will not be buried there. its soil, and we have the honor to bear witness to it and to defend it.
The homeland, my brothers and sisters, is the cry of birth, and we see the light and innocence of childhood in the arms of mother, aunts, sisters and grandmothers, and it is the dream of youth among equals.
It is the freshness of youth and the dignity of old age as we regurgitate the memories of a long life with permission.
In short, gentlemen, the homeland is the soul.
