Sovereign Council Chairman visits Republic of South Sudan

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah_Burhan, visited the city of Juba in the Republic of South Sudan this morning on an official visit.
During the visit, the Council President will hold discussions with President Salva Kiir Mayardit on the development of bilateral relations, ways to advance and expand the horizons of cooperation between the two countries and issues of interest common.
He was welcomed at Port Sudan International Airport by a member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Mr. Salah al-Din Adam Rassas, Lieutenant General Muhammad al-Ghali Ali Youssef, Secretary General of the Sovereignty Council, and several ministers.
The President of the Council is accompanied during the visit by the Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Dr. Mohieddin Naeem, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin, and the Director General of the General Service of intelligence, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim.
