Sovereignty Council Member Lt. Gen. Rukn Kabashi, Russian Envoy Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Cooperation Between the Two Countries

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General *Shams al-Din Kabbashi* and Russia's Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed bilateral relations between Sudan. and Russia and the means to strengthen political, economic, military and cultural cooperation, in the presence of the Minister-designate of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Awad.

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council welcomed Russia's positions in favor of Sudanese legitimacy, emphasizing that all attempts by those who hide in the interests, sovereignty and stability of Sudan are doomed to failure.

Lieutenant General Kabashi confirmed Sudan's openness to all bloodshed initiatives, but within the framework of Sudanese legitimacy and vision that guarantees and preserves the full rights of the Sudanese people.

The foreign minister-designate explained in a press release that the Russian envoy denounced during the meeting demands based on equality between the legitimacy of the Sudanese state and the rebellion.

He said the meeting assured Russia's support for Sudan in the face of anything that could threaten its sovereignty and the interests of its people.
