Sovereignty Council President Takes Decision to Form Commission to Investigate Events in Campo Taiba, Gezira State

Today, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, today issued the decision to form a commission to investigate the events that occurred in Campo Taiba in Al-Jazeera. State, led by Mr. Yasser Bashir Al-Bukhari, First Deputy Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, and other members.
The decision stated that the tasks of the committee would be to collect evidence and investigate the events in Kambo, Gezira State from the place where they occurred, obtain testimonies and statements, and to summon the people affected by the events and witnesses.
The decision indicates that the tasks of the commission are to document all the steps and procedures that were taken during the investigation process, in addition to preparing a detailed report on the facts and results obtained, and to coordinate with the government , legal and state security agencies. , in addition to ensuring transparency at all stages of the investigation and providing correct information to public opinion.
The decision also granted the committee the right to seek assistance from any person it deems appropriate, and the committee must submit its final report within a period not exceeding one week, and the committee members and relevant authorities must implement this decision.
