Professor Bayrak Hamad Adar was elected as the chairman of the National Press Association in Port Sudan. This was held during the regular meeting of the executive bureau in the capital of the Red Sea State, Port Sudan. He added that the Association is in the process of completing its executive offices in the states, and soon the National Press Association will announce the completion of the establishment of its offices. It will work on strategic partnerships that will contribute to the training and qualification of the national press. The employees of the Association, and the Association salutes the role of the armed forces, the regular forces and all those who fight in the battle for dignity against the Janjaweed.

He added that the Association is looking at the challenges of the current stage in addition to the post-war challenges.

Bayrak said that this appointment to the post comes at a difficult time for the country, which is experiencing a fierce war between rebels, mercenaries and several countries that want to erase Sudan from existence and erase its identity. Stressing their support for the valiant armed forces, Yarak wished victory for Sudan against the enemies
