Statement unknown on Kamal Abdel Maarouf's visit – Masarat – ✍️ Mahfouz Abdeen

The visit of Lieutenant General Kamal Abdel Maarouf to Port Sudan and his meeting with Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan on Friday sparked widespread controversy in the media and political circles, and all parties began to analyze and weigh in, to say that the “secret” of this visit was theirs. On the contrary, the matter went beyond Sudanese opinions and extended to Egyptian opinions as well. A person named Muhammad al-Sherbini claimed that he had brought the hadith (Kharram Baram) that God had not sent any authority for this.

All the speeches that took place about the visit are the result of the personal efforts of those who tried to analyze the visit through the information they had, and none of them achieved the desired goal, including Brigadier General Salah Karrar, who talked a lot about the personality of Lieutenant General Kamal Abdel Maarouf without mentioning this visit, what happened there and why it took place. At present, and what are its implications, many questions can be asked, and you may not find a satisfactory or convincing answer.

The truth that many of these people miss is that Lieutenant General Kamal Abdel Maarouf was the highest ranking officer in the armed forces, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and a member of Batch (29).

Therefore, he was supposed to be at the head of change and lead the country into a transition period in his capacity as the first member of the armed forces when the change occurred in 2019 AD, but it seems that General Awad bin Auf, who is part of the group of 23, and Al-Bashir put him back into service after attaching him to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and working as ambassador to Sudan in the Sultanate of Oman, Al-Bashir dismissed him as Minister of Defense and finally. First Vice President of the Republic, but General Kamal Abdel Maarouf was supposed to take over the whole affair and announce the seizure of power in the country in place of General Awad Ibn Aouf. But when Ibn Aouf wanted to step down, he was supposed to give in. It is Kamal Abdel Maarouf, because he is the number one in the armed forces, because Ibn Aouf's positions, whether he is first deputy or Minister of Defense, are political and executive positions that have no direct connection with the work of the armed forces.

However, the visit of General Kamal Abdel Maarouf remains a topic of interest. If it were a real social visit, it would not have received all this media and political momentum. He could have offered his condolences to Al-Burhan in his son and sister, and he went to his family, comforting all the dead, and returned from where he came without anyone knowing.

But the manner of reception, the ceremony with which it took place, the imminent meeting and the working breakfast with Al-Burhan confirm that this visit is unusual, asocial and has something to do with the present and the future of the country.

Although I do not claim the understanding or knowledge of those who analyzed this visit and led it in many directions, I say that this visit is the weakest of faith. It is the subject of consultations regarding a major step that Al-Burhan will take. the country after international and regional efforts have fallen into an impasse, and after the Sudanese people have placed their… The issue is a brick in the place of these international and regional efforts that, in reality, want to sink the country and destroy its cohesion. , unity and identity.

I do not rule out that Al-Burhan will go back in time and restore the situation before it degenerates on the part of those who show hostility towards the armed forces from the internal and external forces. The fact is that Al-Burhan managed to recover the armed forces. He got out of the bottleneck with great skill and managed to tear down all the mountains erected to strangle the armed forces.

He was able to destroy all the gallows prepared to kill the armed forces.

Finally, this visit is not social or unusual, and it has consequences on the Sudanese question… so wait, we are waiting.
